Horse & Rider Fancy dress and Horse & Rider best turned out.
With what would have been ‘Civic Week’ fast approaching, although things will not be the same as usual, along with Presenting Coldstream, we still want you to be able to have a little bit of fun and an excuse for some horses & riders to get dressed up.
We are going to be running two virtual competitions this year. Horse & Rider Fancy dress and Horse & Rider best turned out.
We are going to have the following age groups to allow as many people as possible the chance to be involved. Judging will be done by a third party out with the committee and rosettes awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Group A – Riders aged up to 5 years
Group B – Riders aged between 6 & 8
Group C – Riders aged between 9 & 12
Group D – Riders aged over 13 and up.
These age categories will remain the same for both competitions. The entries should be emailed to ruthh.skinner74@gmail.com and will be judged once the competition is closed. The photos will be share on our Facebook page so by emailing us the photo you are giving us permission to share these. If you did not want any photos shared with the public, you must make us aware of this when sending the photos in. When you email the photo to us you must include – Horse & Rider name, Riders Age & the class they are entering, or the entry may be void due to lack of information.
For those of you that don’t have access to a pony but still would like to get dressed up and have a little bit of fun we are going to have a completely separate class for the most imaginative horse related fancy dress – you can use a hobby horse, a rocking horse, your bike or even a space hopper! Anything you can get your hands on and turn into and equestrian themed fancy dress. We will have juniors, seniors and family class for this category and a rosette awarded 1st, 2nd & 3rd for all three classes. The Junior class will be up to age 8, the Senior class from age 9 onwards.
Closing date for competition is Friday 7th of August and judging will commence shortly after with the rosettes being posted to the lucky winners.
